What does the Haussmann's duo work involves ?

Trix and Robert Haussmann have continuously shown their skill within architecture, product design, textiles and furniture.

Work which is characterise by...

... a distinctive method of using illusion.

... anamorphosis - "distorted projection or drawing which appears normal when viewed from a particular point or with a suitable mirror or lens".

... reflection, as a way to change the perception of a space.

Many times, the duo use mirror to create an illusion. On Trix Haussmann words their use of mirroring is about its capacity "to seemingly dematerialize an object, as well as the entire Cartesian three-dimensional imagination of physical space as a box", and once this boundary is taken down the space is valued "through difference and endlessness at the same time." Robert Haussmann adds "we are simple interested in the use of space."

Below are some of the Haussmann's works:

Drawers on a fluted ionic column.

Mirrored seating, a reinterpretation on Mies van der Rohe’s Weissenhof chair.

Neon light chair is a response to early modern tubular steel furniture.
